LL is a fricking joke. They are all travel ball players who also play in the little league and are the predetermined all star team. Then they go play modified fake 12u baseball
Not a joke. It’s the top competition you will face to win an actual World Series. Travel ball kids practice two-three times a week while playing weekend games all the while playing two games a week in little league. They are the best 12u players you can roster. Why would not want a roster like that?

While I fully agree with 95% of what you said and I support your point, in my opinion they are in fact not the best 12u players typically. Many of the best just don't have a Little League option in their area and some simply don't sign up when there is an option. Travel teams take priority for many and LL requirements of play don't fit into the travel ball schedule in a lot of cases, or the kids don't have time due to being multi sport athletes.
Most of the best 12u travel team in Louisiana Majors classification would beat every Louisiana LL state champ from the last few years, and most games would not be close.

I was stating that in the pool of 12u little league the travel ball players are the best you can roster. That’s why you find a way to include them. The top little league teams have done this.

The AP team is made up of kids from Majors teams in the area.

A couple may have played Majors, but 90% play AAA ball

Most kids that play “majors” aren’t majors.

The team from Lafayette that made it to Williamsport played in some USSSA events to get ready
I watched the best team in the area 10 run rule them. If they played 10 times, they might have avoided that fate once, but they were never gonna win one
I am glad that some LA areas known for good baseball have committed to doing what it takes to become eligible for LL. All of the countries that have had success in Williamsport have taken their entire country's best talent from a MUCH larger pool to win.

Lafayette needs to have one team that is a true all-star team made up of the best kids from Lafayette Little League and Upper-Lafayette League( aka..Northside of town) by combining the 2 leagues .. that combined team would be a perennial contender for the state championship and LL Regional titles...there where several players that I witnessed from the U-L team that would have made a difference on the LLL team.

They won 11-1 in a ten run rule. They play Oklahoma tomorrow at 7. They won 10-0 vs Arkansas.
