re: Rome and Amalfi Coast

I drove from Tuscany to Sorrento (with a stop in a family-specific little town on the way). Drove a little in and around Sorrento including a day trip to Positano. Then drove from Sorrento to Rome to return car and fly home.

Easy drive until you get to about Naples. From there, the driving is tough. I needed a car from Tuscan for stop on the way and because of AirBNB location. If I had to do it over again, would have returned car to Naples and shuttled around Amalfi and taken train to Rome. Some of my party took trail from Sorrento to Rome with no issues.
