TTT - Kelly was thinking of telling Ala's new OC who is a close of friend of Kelly's the truth. "You can expect to lose at least one game every year to LSU for the next several years."

Few know new Alabama football offensive coordinator Tommy Rees better than the head coach of one of the Crimson Tide's top rivals.

I don't know why it is,but 80% of the Gumps on the SEC Rant would rather watch their house burn down than admit LSU and Alabama are rivals. Here's the Tide's hometown ppaer saying LSU is a "top" rival.

They think we're "beneath" them, that's why.

All the more reason I'd like to make Saban quit & pound those bitches.

God, I'm defending Alabama fans....as an outsider, I get the impression that Auburn and Tennessee are bigger historical rivals for them. You gotta remember, they regularly beat us during the Bear Bryant years. After Saban got here, we started beating them frequently. After being pretty even during Miles' first few years, the series turned around on 1/9/12 and we lost all those games in a row until 2019. Now that we have a real coach who can go toe-to-toe with Saban, it looks like things may be more balanced or tipped in our favor.

LSU has been one of Alabama’s main rivals since the 60s. Despite the lopsided record, most games in the series have been very hard fought contests. Actual Alabama graduates will acknowledge this, even if their sidewalk fans will not.

Saban has been scheduling their bye week before the LSU game for a long time. We might not be one of Bama’s traditional rivals…but Saban has considered LSU their main rival ..make no mistake about it.

I remember an interview with an NFL rookie, who was from Alabama. When they asked him about the intensity of the NFL preparations he responded, "Man, it is like getting ready for LSU every single week". I don't remember the player but I do remember a great sense of Tiger pride when he said it.

To be fair, that's not all that life-altering of an event. If they have insurance, they can have it cleared and have a new trailer set up within days. Just gotta save the prom picture of them with their sister.

He set himself up for failure when he basically said that Brian Kelly wasn't allowing him to call the offense. If the offense struggles for Bama this year then he is going to be the only one to blame. I would have approached that situation a little differently.

Alabama leads the series 24-17-1 since 1982. It’s been pretty even for the last 40 years.

Yep that link needs to be bookmarked for November when Bama fans are saying that LSU is not their rival.

Third. LSU is Alabama’s third biggest rival. Now, relax about it. You guys are making us sound like Aggies.
