I built my new bow at home. Mathews Phase 4, I've tied in my d loop and my peep and attached my arrow rest and my dovetail sight.

I need to set my 3 axis and paper tune and create a sight tape.

I want to do this with a shop though. I don't have a press or crono or vice which is why I want to go to a shop. I don't want to drop it off somewhere and come pick it up. I want to be the one doing all this work along with a pro showing me.

You guys know of any shops in the area that would work with me on something like this?

Gotham Archery

Last year Ken let me go in on a day they were closed and spent about 2 hours with me getting my bow right. Awesome folks there.

Bowie's is not what it used to be. Honestly, I'd probably just take it to Bayouland in Broussard

I second Gotham. Ken will spend way way to much time helping you get your bow how you want it. He is in Central just off of Greenwell Springs Rd and on Corner of old Sullivan Rd

Second rec for Gotham. They’re bow nerds with competition background and will work with you. No shop is gonna let a stranger walk in and use their press, that’s a liability nightmare, but he’ll probably be willing to set up a time for y’all to do it together.

Perfect that’s exactly what I’m looking for. I’ll give them a call. Thanks

Yeah they’re pretty bad. I bought a new bow from them last year along with all the accessories, my first time buying a new bow in like 12-13 years. I had to leave it there for them to set up, no problem, they called me a few days later and said it’s ready. I spent roughly 2.5-3 hours there so they could tie in my peep and cut my arrows. They didn’t help me tune it or shoot through paper or anything. The bottom of my peep came untied not long after too. I needed a few new arrows about a month later so I went back to find out what weight inserts they put in my arrows so I could match them. The guy who did my arrows proceeds to cuss and make a big deal about “somebody gluing the inserts in”. It was literally him
I now go to spillway sportsman. The guy in their archery department is good and always helps me out

Do they do lessons? I’ve never had one, and I wonder if someone looking at my form would make me better. I know it helped with my golf swing
