A lot of the courses on your list are public. Not sure what your point is.

Bopper made a comment about course closures, just giving everyone an idea on how many have closed.

Correct. Plus their huge clubhouse expansion was seriously over budget. It’s now time to pay down their bank debt. Big checks about to be written out there.

Damn, that’s quite a list. You can also add Willowisp CC and Alvin GC.

I used to love playing out at Old Orchard. Miss that one

Technically they had both a par 3 course and the executive course close. Their little Exec course was fun when in decent shape.

It's River Ridge. Use to be 27 holes before Harvey. It was a great course and I loved the river sand in the traps.

The Old Crumegon who owned the course and the land really screwed the homeowners that built around the course with the idea of being on the course by letting it go to seed.

He could have done a small redesign for 18 holes only.

Got the email this morning CBIGG has entered into a letter of intent to sell the entire portfolio.

Some of the message below.

quote:

I’m excited to announce to you that we have entered into an agreement to sell the portfolio to a group that has been involved in the process for several months, has made numerous site visits and conducted interviews with our teams, and is extremely enthusiastic about their taking over the ownership and improvement of all our properties. This group has been involved as an owner and investor in the golf space for years with other portfolios. Although we have executed a Letter of Intent and have begun the exclusive contracting process, we’ll reserve the name of this group for announcement until the process is further along. However, everyone at CBIGG can say with confidence that this deal will move quickly, and we look forward to a transition on to new ownership before the first week in December.

This comes a few days after they tell us our dues went up more than 10%. If it isn’t looking better by this time next year, I’m finding a new club.

Wonder if it’s club corp (invited) trying to expand their footprint

Let's hope that it's for the better.

4 ownership changes really hurt Greatwood.

If it's not Club Corp but some investment group hopefully they won't be under captialized.
