What happened to Casey Dick??? No matter who they start, they will probably have their career game against the two-headed monster Mallveto defense.

Talent, Talent, Talent- Geeeeez, if I here that crap one more time.

so you're saying we're not talented?

quote:

Talent does NOT necessarily win games.

tell that to les miles the past few years

quote:

If the "talent" does not have any team chemistry- you will lose games.

before les started throwing players under the bus, we had plenty of team chemistry

quote:

Yes, we do have a ton of talent at some positions, and at others we do not.

we only lack top talent at 2 positions really...free safety and SLB (sheppard)

quote:

Bottom line is our "talent" was pretty much blown up on both sides of the ball yesterday

put in bad position + malaise due to miles mishandling the team

quote:

This has to do with playing good fundamental football on both sides of the ball

that will only work if our guys are put in a position to succeed. they have not been this year

naw

but he's got to make some changes both in his style and in his decisions

he's a CEO-type. he lives and dies by his recruiting and hires (and development of program/players)

he's got to get his hands off crowton's offense

he's got to hire better coaches

if you say we don't have talent, then he's got to recruit/develop better

Wasn't out of the question in my mind either. What I didn't expect however was how lethargic and ineffective the Defense would have become in such a short period, even given the youth in the secondary. No pressure, soft patty cakes zone, being thirty feet away from the ball, mass confusion of where you're supposed to be, and getting absolutely HAMMERED by everybody you face just about. That is one thing I did not expect, but when Miles listed those two guys as our Co-DCs it seemed just a bit strange and loyalty to a fault, not using good sense, just blind devotion.

I didn't say true freshman corners, I said Brand new. . .I could have said brand new starters, but I overestimated your ability to think.

but our offensive playcalling has been conservative as hell lately and it's easy for teams to just load up the LOS.
Kinda HAS to be, though.

Lee just isn't getting any better, and the guy who is getting better is just not quite ready to be thrown to the wolves. But he'll HAVE to be thrown out there next week.

I totally agree with all of that. No doubt.

I never, at any time, said we don't have talent. Bottom line is that "talent" is playing like shite right now. Could be coaching, could be the players, could be a combination. It is what it is, and nothing will be any different this season. In the offseason, I totally agree that changes have to be made. Not only are we losing games, but we are getting run out of our own house and it's not pretty.

I expected at least three losses as well but I expexted to lose 10 to 7 or 17 to 10 with the defense keeping us close and the offense and QB progressing through the season. This team is getting worse as the season goes by. I will not bash players. They are young men who need to be coached and I see a confused bunch of players that look disorganized. That is coaching. Dline coach needs to go and a new DC needed. Plain and Simple. Another year of seasoning with this staff is not going to get any better next year.

why?

I'll post my return to LA when I come back for a visit.

You can "bring it" then. I think I'm supposed to race someone.

Who was that, SFP? I forgot, was it Max?

eh

we didn't beat ole miss, at home, with the biggest momentum boost to our year propelling us

we play better when it's not

it's no shock that our O has gotten worse with more conservative playcalling taking over

And if we play a halfway decent team (a little better than Troy) in a bowl game, it could be loss number 6.

Les needs to do the honorable thing and resign for the way he handled the QB situation this year.

Bring in the Boise St or Ball St coach. Les Miles showed this year that he isn't up to par unless he has overwhelming talent.

This team sucks and its Les's fault. He needs to be held responsible.

before the season, you expected a vastly inferior ole miss team with an inexperienced, new starter learning a new offense to beat LSU? yeah ok
