My fiber stayed lit during the 10 days without power for Ida. So with the genny I was able to be available or actually work from home most of the days to save on burning vacation days.

I'm actually now remembering why I cursed ATT right after Ida, how could I have forgotten.
Unsure where you live but our fiber lines are run from our power lines above ground. So all of our oak trees that came crashing down brought numerous lines down and well as snapping my fiber line.
So even after we got our power back, it took another 3 weeks for ATT to get out and reconnect everything.
Whew, my PTSD must've blocked that lovely memory. Ya, I think I'll pull the trigger on TMobile 5g home internet asap. I have Tmobile so it's on 30$ a month.
