It just didn't have the charm of the other 3 movies. Trying to setup Shia to take over was a terrible idea. Most importantly you saw this scene right?

I get that these movies have crazy scenes but a fridge can save a person from a nuclear blast?

That’s way dumber than pouring water on someone and healing a gut shot from a pistol.

I didn't mind the fridge scene at all, it was obviously not realistic, but this is a fantasy film. The main issue was the godawful CGI, specifically the jeep sword fight scene and the monkey swinging scene.

The refrigerator protected him because they used to be lead lined. It protects from the radiation of the explosion. The bomb didn't go off in the fake town, it went off miles away in an experiment to see how it would affect a small town miles away. The town experienced a shock wave, he was protected inside of a structurally secure vessel so his ears wouldn't bust and his body wouldn't be laden with shrapnel, that also protected him from radiation. That scene is probably the most plausible scene in the move.
