Does Florida actually have a fan base now?

And this is why USM got the Super, if only they could have gotten one more win.

I would bet UF ran some special to get a paid attendance that high up.

Auburn has been to the CWS recently. No reason for them not to have better attendance.

Well, the biggest reason is that their ballpark seats about 4,500 people. They would have to expand significantly to make this list.

Yep. I live 45 mins NW of Athens. UGA fans care about football almost exclusively. Many long for a competitive basketball and baseball team. I’d say more so for basketball. They’re fair weathered in most non football sports. Really no reason they shouldn’t be competitive. They’re about to get some long needed upgrades to Foley Field and this state is LOADED with baseball players. They’re so stoned from football right now, they couldn’t care less. If they 3 peat, I may have to move.

Well that’s paid attendance, not actual attendance.

I was starting to wonder...those numbers seem...high for butts in seats. 11,000 avg for a stadium with a capacity of 10,000

Yeah they quit doing actual attendance for any sport a long time ago. For a while they would show both but I don't think the schools liked that very much and stopped providing actual pretty much across the board.

This isn’t the runaway y’all think it is. Had state hosted at all in the post season, they’d have a higher paid average than us.

Not going to deny that. Obviously us hosted a regional and super helped out our overall number a ton. It’s just nice to see us back at the top of the list, for whatever the reason may be.

Per game attendance is the best barometer and LSU has slightly better than MSU, though yes had State had a regional they would almost certainly have exceeded LSU's per game attendance.

I'll go a step further and say that's why CFB matters a lot too.

There’s NFL teams in New Orleans, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Atlanta, Tampa, Miami, Jacksonville, and Charlotte. Plenty of options for fans down here.

The SEC just loves football period. P

Why? Because you don’t like reality and pertinent context?
