That IS the issue. I do beat them gross. In our leagues, you add in hdcp/strokes for NET scores and then I get hosed.
As stated, I shot a 36. The guy I played with shot 52. I end up even and he ends up -2.
Played our Stableford outing yesterday. I shot 79, which was the second lowest gross. I have to pull 28 points. I pulled 30 for a +2. The winner was +11. Pulled the second most points and ended up 9th out of 20 players.
I KNOW there is not perfect answer.

Ya it’s really bothered me lately. We do a skins game every Tuesday. Net and Gross.
There’s 3-4 people who seem to win every time. And they are guys with high enough handicaps to get 2 strokes on some holes.
They somehow always par a hole where they get 2 pops.
It’s like clockwork one of them out of 40 players will win a skin

I play in a similar league. 6-8 handicap and the guys i play with are seniors. I get whipped most weekends, but do pull my points. I add a sandbag week every now and then when Im not striking it well just to give myself a shot at winning the pool
