Did the dude die? I honestly felt sort of bad for the girl, even though she was likely in on whatever he was about to try to do. Most of all I just felt bad for the little kid in the car.

He can't unilaterally it has to be recommended by some board. I am hoping it is in process and just a matter of timing. I know Abbot has pledged to pardon when and if the recommendation hits his desk.

I ask because dude fired as soon as the door opened. I'm wondering did the perp open the door, or the cop? If the same scenario plays and the citizen opens the door and fires immediately, is it justified? Definitely looks so, but we know how juries be, and luckily it wasn't a black in this case for the cop.

Depending on your grand jury, this may not be open and shut. I think it is, but see this comment:

They are in the middle of the city. NBR has some streets and alley ways like that too.
