How in the hell did Boeing go so right with the Apache and go so wrong with the Osprey?

Though the Osprey accident/incident occurrences were higher than the Apache, the Apache was plagued with a lot of reliability and logistical support problems resulting in low availability rates. Most of these issues have been corrected since initial delivery, but it was not a smooth, trouble free roll out as was hoped by the Army and Boeing.

New technology is always dangerous. When jets first came out for the military they were putting them in the dirt left and right.
