Frustration and acceptance is setting in for the holdout Cajuns fans
Cajuns finished ranked in football two years in a row under Napier, baseball back to back regionals, softball supers, basketball conf Champs and NCAA bid..
At the very least you would expect that level of success to get you into Southern Miss fanbase territory.. And yet we can't get 20k people to show up to a football game.
Then you see lines of people at Albertsons buying snacks and cases of Bud Light to watch LSU women basketball final four.
Fact is, if you can't get to meaningful games in any sport, you just aren't going to get casual fans to follow you. And with the P5/G5 divide + NIL system, there's really no path to meaningful success for a midling G5 school

Transfer portal is the real disrupter of college athletics. If NCAA and whatever future entity that governs D1 football would reinstitute the mandatory transfer sit-out year, it would stabilize things.
