They might be back, but their fans are hungry. No national championship for them in many years, if ever. LSU fans have enjoyed six, so it probably wouldn’t have been as painful for us.

Plus the fact that they were #1. Same thing 1998 KSU and 2007 WVU football went through. Deep, devastating losses hit differently when you’re not a perennial power.

About like us in football before 2003. I Think they won the CWS in 1955
