I say yes. What I also liked about a fitting is understanding what kind of clubs work for you and what clubs don't.

Clubface technology isnt getting enough love in here. Compared to what the op is hitting he will get a big jump in forgiveness with a new set of game improvement irons. The reality is its the shafts where you get the most improvement from a fitting, but a newer set of pings will make a noticeable difference to him on mishits.
