It's been confirmed that he was going on contact. As he should have been! Why is it a terrible decision with a left handed hitter? What are the odds the hitter sends a rocket right w5 you when you're on the third base line? It was the right call. We were on the wrong end of a combination of a great play and some luck on their part. They got lucky a left handed somehow lines a ball down the third base line, then they turned it into a major league play that had maybe a 10% chance of being successful
