Consider getting a local guide to take you around. Can be pricey, but you will see wildlife that you probably won’t see driving around on your own. We had one when we went in early May a few years ago and saw wolf puppies, bear cubs, mountain goats, and a golden eagle. The guide had binoculars and telescopes that we used to see them.
