Nolan Ryan was known for being wild for most of his career. It's what got him traded from New York to California after about 5 years of being up and down in the Mets system. He led the American League 6 times in walks and twice in the National League. Even in his later years, his control was not pinpoint. Bad comparison.

True. Partly because Skenes is pitching to lineups where half would not make it out of rookie league.
