Ep8 "Under The Cloak of War" is out.
This was an excellent episode. Absolutely excellent. This connects the TOS Episode "Day of The Dove" when The Enterprise was Forced to a Klingon Crew by an alien entity. Where it connects is McCoy, Kirk and Spock are speaking of the Klingon brutality during the war.
Ep8 gives us a deep back story with M'Benga and Chapel along with Ortegas with their animosity towards the Klingons and the PSTD they have.
We also are treated to a cameo by Clint Howard which the hard core Trek fans will know as "Balok" from TOS.
This was a really heavy episode that was handled really well. I'm glad next weeks episode is going to by light hearted after this weeks.

So the doctor is now some super assassin capable of killing dozens of Klingons in hand-to-hand combat? This is getting just silly.
The original series had great stories with consistent characters. They didn't rely on gimmicks of the week to make things interesting. This season has been a disappointment after the writing in the first season.
