Yes, because the "Ring of Fire" is known for its tectonic stability...

This sounds like some of that AOC lunacy a few years back.

That's going to be nuts when one of those suckers derails a thousand miles from nowhere. We can't keep them on the tracks here on solid ground.

You're the President of the United States. You are the most powerful man in the world. You can only "get in trouble" if you are not the one making decisions. Which we know, he isn't.

If it's on floating piers or pontoons even a moderate storm will give the passengers a thrilling ride.

I think it’s gonna be a pontoon railroad.

It would probably be best to have Elon bore tunnels under the ocean.

Wonder what the cost would be to bore under the Mariana Trench?

Based from the Boring Company's website, the usual cost runs $10 to $15 million per mile.

Seems reasonable that that would be more under an ocean.
But what do I know?

I don’t know how the Biden administration plans to construct a railroad across the Pacific and Indian Oceans, or what the purpose of doing so would even be.

How’s about we build a wall at our southern border first, then we can talk about a railroad

The logistics, costs involved, and the ecological impact if were even remotely feasible are insurmountable.

It’s a shame we don’t have giant metal things that could float on the water to transport goods. Oh, wait….

It makes total sense. We must get rid of fossil fuels to save the planet. Banning cars is no problem but we can't make solar powered jetliners. So, we ban airlines and we replace them with railroads across the ocean run with EV batteries.

You don't even need refueling stations in the ocean because you can designate the first 50 cars behind the engine for battery storage. Then you can recharge all of them when you get to Africa.

I know it’s idiocy, but I’ll play along. Hey Joe, how does a trans oceanic railroad effect shipping? Those would have to be some pretty tall bridges…. Stupidity!
