Thank the lord it is put to better uses like subsidizing the private energy sector, building sports arenas in urban cities for billionaire sports teams, and professional baseball and football facilities for Jr. High and High School teams in podunk.

And maybe Europe will one day do away with those awful laws banning owning a car in cities with rail availability.

As shitty as it is, do you know why cities KEEP voting for it? Because those home games and other events hosted in those massive arenas spur serious economic activities within the city limits.

Totally agreed. But one point of contention is it better to build one super nice stadium or 7 sub par stadiums?

It’s $1.99/L in Germany right now. That’s $7.46/gal. Plus, most of those cities developed well before automobiles became popular
