Not sure if it still hold true but in the past a pro tip was to fly into KC and rent a car to make the 2-12 hour drive to Omaha.

You'll likely want a car anyway and in the past, flying into KC saved you big money...we did it in 2009 and our flight was full of old LSU fans who had made many trips. Sat next to Chris Guillot on the plane and had good talks with him. I know people dog him here a lot but he was nice and gave us tips for the trip.

Staying at the team hotel was fun too, there was always a crowd watching other games in the lobby and it was fun when the players would come and go. After games it was a cool mini-party in the lobby when the team bus would arrive back at the hotel and they would file in.

just did a quick check and tickets are 50-75% higher into Omaha than they are into KC.
