Good morning, folks.

I went back to individual cups this morning.

bought my first gun, a tiny .32 Davis derringer.

Dangerous. No trigger guard. Not accurate over 5' away. When it accidentally goes off because of no trigger guard, make the story bigger.

Yeah, I know that if the hammer goes down, it goes off. The half-cocked thing and all.
quote:

To load the gun you must pull the hammer back to the half-cock notch. Then you rotate the lever on the right side of the frame 180 degrees forward, which allows the barrels to tip up and gives access to the chambers. Once the chambers are loaded you cannot lower the hammer or it will press the firing pin against the primer. If you wish to lower the hammer you will need to set the safety. If the hammer is down on the safety, you cannot disengage the safety without at least half-cocking the hammer.

Not sure I would be accurate over 10' anyway, so more of a...I don't want to use the word novelty, regarding a gun, because I grew up shooting and respecting them, but we live in a very safe place. This is something I can feel comfortable with, because of the size and ease of loading.
