Why is it outrageous? The western section of the southernmost district of Alabama is still accessible by car to the eastern section, via the overpass linking the land portion of the west to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach.
Also providing a second blue district to Alabama is more in line with the demographics of the state, which is, as earlier mentioned, about one-third black. Furthermore, changing the configuration of the district is culturally consonant. Mobile doesn't belong in a strong right-directed region with towns like Andalusia, Opp and Flomaton.

Literally none of this is accurate, and drawing districts based on race is racist. Totally in line with the Democrat Party though, for sure.
