They didn’t really have an ace. Everyone was prettt average from a starting pitching perspective. They kinda piece game together it appears

We'll probably start AJ Lattery, started this season as our midweek guy.

Low 90s, pretty good command, doesn't walk that many. His stuff isn't overwhelming, but if he's throwing strikes, he's really effective.

We also could start Ben Ferrer, probably our best long reliever. We started him once in the Pac-12 tourney, but I have a feeling we're done with that experiment.

They had an ace, but he went down with injury in mid-April. Their #2 starter was ruled out this week for postseason. They pitched their #3 option last night. What they have now is AJ Lattery who made 6 conference starts after Hunter went down but pitched in relief the last 2 weeks after he gave up 15 R in 12 IP across 4 starts and Ben Ferrer who had a 3.38 ERA in conference play as a reliever but started the last 2 weeks giving up 9 R in 8.2 IP. They also have 3 other relievers with ERAs between 3.93 and 4.30 in conference play and their midweek starter who had a 4.11 ERA but 0 IP in conference play.
