In what context does Floyd have an ERA under 2? Overall, his ERA is 4.59. Against SEC opponents, it’s 5.40. He did have a 1.80 ERA in his last start. Maybe that’s what you mean?

Let’s hope Floyd can throw his offspeed pitches for strikes because those dudes were sitting FB tonight and they found a lot of barrels.

Lester you are stumbling on the metaphorical stage, c’mon man. Floyd is a legit strong pitch.

dependable

Does not compute unless you mean dependable at giving up a run every outing.

Jokes aside, I hope he pitches better than he has all year!

Except he has been the last few games. Same as last season.

It’s be entirely possible if we do. No guarantees in baseball.

We need to win tomorrow. Its everything.

Assuming we do, even if we lose on Sunday, I still like our chances. We would be playing our 4th in 4 days and opponent would be playing their 5th with likely a much more depleted pen as they had already played two win or go home games. Our pen might be piss poor but no one has a good bullpen playing their 5th game in 4 days including a double header the day before.

It is for this reason I really wanted to start Floyd today and Skenes tomorrow. If we win tomorrow it is a moot point.

Not completely useless, but not indicative either. Poise and confidence have tangible value to a team.

What happens to the other team on Monday if we get there. They would be in the same spot with very few arms
