frick your friends and family, if, IF, they are a detriment to your family—you, your spouse, and your children—and they won’t do their part to make the relationship fair to y’all.

Pursue what is best for you and your wife. Sounds like you’ve got a good one, too, btw. And that’s a huge blessing.

Coming home from work to have your 6 year old daughter run to the door to meet you and give you a hug. My 1 year old son is learning from her and he is starting to do the same.

Being outside in the rain. I like doing just about anything in the rain. Makes you feel alive. I know it sounds crazy, but I was blowing a ton of leaves off our very long wooded driveway last fall and got caught in a surprise downpour. I just kept working. There was so much water on the driveway, the gas power blower was creating small water swells that just floated the leaves off the driveway. It was actually fun, even though I was soaked and wondering how much longer my blower would work. It actually worked fine to my surprise. Anyways, I recommend you get out in the rain if you haven't in a long time. We played in the rain all the time as kids, but then grow up and for the most part stop doing it. I also don't mind fishing in the rain as long as it is not too windy.

There's an overlook 1/2 mile from my house. It's a perfect spot to see much of The Strip and a lot of the Fremont Street / Downtown area. Going there at sunset and watching all of the city lights start to come on with the mountains in the background never gets old.

Traveling to see actual fall foliage. The closest that Vegas gets to that is when we change the colors on the neon signs. The Arizona high country will never compare to New England but it has its own beauty.

Only pleasures worth living are flickin’ bean; eating vagine; and driving green.

Drinking a cold beer from the garage fridge in the middle of that background smell of gas and oil from you finally getting the motorcycle or the vintage car/truck running.

Putting on a new roll of toilet paper and finding the paper roll is perfectly symmetrical, so when you pull it the paper pulls off smoothly with none of that flopping around because the roll is bent.

So good...

Nature's beauty. The rich hues of the South Carolina sky at dusk always capture a smile from my face. Also, the leaves changing color in the fall. It's one of the few things I really miss from living in the North. Usually, the southern heat just turns everything from green to brown. There is something primal about the leaves turning red and yellow that really makes you believe in a higher power.

Hearing my two year old daughter yell “DADDY!” when I walk through the door from work and then hearing the pitter patter of her feet running to greet me with a hug. Or hearing my 4 month old cooing after he wakes up
