I would save the investment and solely use them for racing. When we got on the track for repeats, we only spiked up when we were going all out in the end. Racing flats/tempo shoes are the way to efficiently train your body.
Again though, the "cheat shoes" do not provide a training benefit. Will they help you run fast at the time? Absolutely. The problem is the shoes help the runner too much to get any benefit from traijing.

For most people, they provide 1% or less improvement in running economy. I personally save my Vaporfly’s for race day and don’t train in plated shoes, but don’t think it’s that big a deal if someone wants to. Proper training, recovery, diet, and sleep are all much more important but I think we all know that.
