Ott's gambling show catered to the degenerate gamblers
I guess Moscona had enough since he is in charge of the program lineup and I guess the ratings weren't good enough for Jimmy's show
I'm sure Ott will still have a gambling segment on the new lunchtime show

I could see it getting enough ratings during football season. And maybe during the NBA/NHL season and March Madness there's enough stuff to bet on to keep the content fresh enough daily.
The NBA and NHL are in the finals so there's only one game in each league to bet on in any given day, soon to be 0, and not enough people bet on college baseball, and not enough people care about the MLB in south Louisiana (not saying they don't exist, but not enough to move the needle on a daily gambling show).
So it's probably best to consolidate that into just a segment on the lunch show. Once September comes around and there's NFL and CFB along with MLB playoffs and NBA/NHL seasons starting again in a month, maybe there'll be enough content for a standalone show again. Maybe they'll revisit it again around that time.
Personally I was fine with the lunch show and "lock of the week" Friday being the gambling to day of the week. Maybe they can have a 15 or 30 minute segment of the day for gambling so Ott can be useful for something but there's just not enough to keep people interested to justify an entire 2 hour show every day imo

I don’t think he has any interest in sports if he can’t gamble on them, so I would assume so

I listened today and it is all he talked about. You know you are a degenerate if you are talking gambling odds on NHL games in south Louisiana.
