Chad he is a tweak from developing a year to year power.

Honestly lsu is only where they are right now due to him drawing White & Skenes. Because the roster wasn’t in great shape.

Once the middle of the roster players start to turn over, then you can say he isn’t a championship level coach. Not a declaration you can make right now.

You don’t think team should be better prepared at this point? We have loads of pure talent and the season is on the verge of being wasted.

Right. He’s done a great job improving the talent and getting us to where we are in his second year. The team has had injuries that have been incredibly impactful but many refuse to acknowledge that.

We still had a great regular season and will be a top 5 national seed which is what matters.

He’s not oblivious to the deficits but one recruiting class can’t totally fix every issue and build the depth you need to overcome the injuries.

As you said, PM left a substandard roster. If people would go back and look at mainieri’s last 3 recruiting classes they’d be horrified at how many misses there were.

We are right where we need to be in year 2 and he’s already in the portal on some game changers so we will be fine. Nothing is guaranteed but if you want a team capable of winning it all, Jay is able to build that roster.
