You know, there are tons of folks who are only qualified for, and have the intelligence and motivation to be hired in, "low end jobs" as you put it. Don't even say that these folks should go back to school or something.

No. You’ve got it wrong.
What is ruining us is that politicians made it illegal to let two people negotiate a wage rate that works for both.
We could have endless jobs for people whose skills aren’t worth a fixed wage rate that we keep raising. But we made that freedom illegal.
We’re currently ok with letting people learn lessons of the workplace appropriate for the value they bring to an organization as long as we call it an internship. But we made it illegal to pay any wage rate that is incrementally higher that these workers may consent to, because moronic activists think every job must pay a living wage. We’re skipping a step. First they must demonstrate their labor produces the value of a given wage rate.
Anyone not worth the wage rate is called unemployed.
