Our Kenmore is now on its 25th year. Just a simple one with freezer and fridge and one door for each. No ice maker or water dispenser. We bought it like we buy everything. Get a temporary subscription to Consumer Reports and research them. And Amazon reviews (which are trending to fake) and buy American as much as possible and tried and true brands and models. Put your ego last in this decision. Best of luck.

Kenmore makes nothing, get the model number, it will tell you who makes it. Just a guess Whirlpool. My father-in-Law was in the appliance repair business for years. He was always partial to Whirlpool.
