I'm not telling you that your view of the case is wrong. But "cellmate testifies that defendant confessed to him" is not very convincing. Fellow prisoners have a lot to gain by lying.

I agree its inadmissible but they told a LOT of people being police and cell mates the same detailed story. But I also need to realize that kid was special needs.

After he was convicted, while he was being driven to jail, Jessie gave the police a very detailed description about how they held shirts to their mouths so they couldn't scream.

When asked how they kept the kids under control while they were being molested, before they were tied up, Jessie said "They were like little puppies. When you whoop a puppy and tell it to stay, it will." This is all in recorded statements.

Not a cellmate, the police who were driving him to jail.
