Tea at the Plaza.
I opened the thread to suggest this. What captures the imagination of a young girl more than a fancy tea party at an iconic hotel. If they haven’t heard of Eloise of the Plaza they will still enjoy it. It’s a fun experience. Reservations a must.

I’ll offer another suggestion: the American Girl cafe. If she has one of their dolls, bring it with you, as they have special chairs for the dolls to sit at the table. Just walking thru the store to reach the cafe will be fun, though you may end up leaving with more than you planned for! My daughters and I have wonderful memories from dining at the American Girl cafes when they were around the age of your daughter.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions.
Though it will be Serendipity. Already made the reservations!

You won't regret it!
I highly recommend the Frrrrozen Hot Chocolate, which is what made me fall in love with the place years ago!
I haven't been back in a while (I live on the West Coast, sadly), but if things haven't changed then the portions are HUGE. Order food for half the size of the party, you can always add more if you need. but more importantly you need to save room for desserts, desserts, and desserts!

We were just there last week and was planning for a late night pop in for desert as we had eaten earlier that evening. Little did we know there was a $18.95 per person minimum. Still sat down and had a Frozen Hot Chocolate and the Ulitmate Cheesecake. Was well worth it even for that price.

quote:Your party at Poncho’s surely let their freak flags fly as to refills and additional food orders?
This may generate some discussion, and perhaps disgust, but they might even be better than the birthday tacos I ate at Panchos on Veterans for my 11th birthday party, a party Mother tried to host at Commanders. I, however, was steadfast in my resolve to host our big party at Pancho’s. We rented out the entire back room, which had windows that allowed one to see in the halls of the Rosedale strip mall, which had a great pet shop when those were a thing and a Pappy Kershenstine jerky store.
Our friend Owlvis should ask for NIL remuneration from Panchos, upon further review.
