They tolerated Trump for risk of being crushed by his supporters. DeSantis is on video saying this exact thing. Paul Ryan was willing to sacrifice his speakership just to oppose Trump. McCarthy has had to make major concessions because he was viewed as Paul Ryanish

Its funny how BDR gets hammered for hanging or being supported by some in the GOPe yet in four years as POTUS DJT did nothing but appoint GOPe members to almost every position of power in his admin.
