There was another Georgia poll done earlier in May with similar numbers.
GA 2024 Poll
DeSantis is beating Biden by 5.
Trump is losing to Biden by 1.

Another important factor is Brian Kemp. He is the most popular politician in GA. His latest approval rating has him at 60% and he defeated Abrams by nearly 300K votes last November. I don't see any way that he goes out of his way to help a guy who has repeatedly lied about him, called him a traitor, and said that a woke Democrat would make a better Governor. I can absolutely see Kemp going around the state helping DeSantis if he is the nominee.
