So what's the solution supposed to be?

Just remove it a layer or 2 and make it more abstract. Once you fix that, it will flow down and [insert marginalized population] will stop doing [insert pathological behavior], which will stop the need for [rational response to pathological behavior].

And you're always at risk of some new, higher layer of abstract being created. It's like Scientology.

That story does sound like redneck bullshite. Also, whenever I hear "expulsion" or "in-school suspension" I think "lazy public school teachers." I don't get to pick and choose my job assignments. Why do they?

Maybe parent your kids. Maybe have parents for your kids.

Let them terrorize the school with no consequences - you know like NYC revolving door for criminals. Portland, Oregon is finding out it doesn’t work.

Why do good students have to suffer? So their eduction should be disrupted by a fool? So the teacher is lazy if the kid smokes weed in class, pulls out his dick and curses the teacher out? Got it. What an idiot.

Just walk the halls of Wenonah HS in Birmingham

I have had to go to Wenonah HS for work a few times, and the last time, this kid was absolutely unhinged over something, trying to walk out of the school, dropping F bombs left and right, huffing and puffing. The school officer, and teachers were trying to calm him down and restrain him to keep him from running away. I dipped out of there real quick. It was wild. I'm sure that shite happens every day there.

77% of black kids in America are raised in a single parent household.

I just gave the correct answer for why black kids in Birmingham have to be disciplined more than other groups.

Somehow the media never wants to examine that this is the core issue for every single outcome that they want to blame on racism.

Black single mothers are awful at parenting and as a result a disproportionate number of their children suck at life.

Blacks are always innocent. The problem is the white system of supremacy.

You can bet dollars to donuts the kid was disciplined for more than being suspected of smoking weed in a car. He probably has a reputation of being a bad actor.

On a lighter note, his dad’s teachers predicted he would become a Hearst driver. I just can’t stop laughing! maybe the family owned a country funeral home? Like father like son.

There is likely a correlation between this and black women having kids at a higher clip than any other race between the ages of 18 and under. How the hell is a 30 year old, single mother going to parent their child when they can’t even parent themselves.

Are they saying her got all of this

He was held in in-school suspension, disqualified from playing baseball and eventually sentenced to alternative school, paying a steep price for proclaiming his innocence. The situation snowballed until CJ couldn’t graduate with his friends or participate in his athletic season.

For smelling like weed?

If the only thing a good athlete did was smell like weed there is no way in hell he would get all of that. His head coach would throw a fit. That seems like it would be a big risk for the school.. Give all of that to someone who smelled like weed. All he has to say is "As for as I know, I wasn't around anyone smoking weed, but there were a lot of people around so who knows?"

I'll add something important to what I wrote: if a child consistently shows a lack of interest in the curriculum (which is basically a college prep curriculum in almost all US secondary schools), he should be put onto a learning track that's more about learning useful skills and serving society via manual labor.

It shouldn't be about smelling like pot, though. There is just a punitive bent to American culture - particularly white rural culture - that those immersed in it take for granted. It's the culture that would rather indulge its little rage-boners by building prisons for drunk drivers than building public transportation for all of us.

That's how we are, though, so we bore the crap out of Little Demetrious with Algebra 9 and Henry David Thoreau and then when he'd rather smoke dope or mumble rap we make our little Shocked Pikachu face and act all judgmental. It makes our little rage-boners feel good.
