Yeah but there was a thread a couple days ago on the MSB about a player that said they needed more teams for that exact reason and people bitched about her saying that.

That doesn't solve the problem (of minimal support and revenue). That increases the problem.
Cut the draft to 1 round would do more than keeping it at a monstrosity of 3 rounds.
