I prefer a 6 ft one piece rod with a small spinning reel. I found a few Wally marshall ones on clearance recently at Academy and they have been great for me. But I don’t think they carry them anymore, at least the ones I bought.
I have this small micro lite spinning reel from Cabelas/Bass Pro that has been really solid.
