357, have you heard anything new about Awa Fam from Spain? I really like her style of play, her size, and aggressiveness. Hope Coach Kim can bring her in to LSU for a recruiting visit.

Its looking like LSU will have to hit the portal to try to replace Reese and Van Lith. What about Velez and Bartlett? I don't know it they will be back either. Having not signed but one player, we will definitely need to bring in at keast 4 players.

I suspect they will all be back next year…especially with the trip to Greece in August
Would be awesome if we could find a transfer guard with some quickness

I think Reese is having fun at LSU, and LSU is giving her a big stage that is helping her make a lot of money, so I don't think turning pro may not entice her. She made $1.7M with NIL deals, and college basketball is beating the WNBA in viewership, so she'll be more obscure as a pro. The maximum salary in the WNBA is only about $277k, so unless she can make $1.4M or more in endorsements, she would lose money by going pro. I think Angel may be able to replace her NIL with endorsements, but I don't think it is a sure thing, so why not keep having fun and get a degree to boot?

I think they are both gone and we will have to go to the portal. We have missed on almost all our targets in recruiting this year I am not sure where or what our recruiting staff did this recruiting cycle. Strong is still out there but there is no buzz around her. To keep up with SC you have to do better in recruiting. We will have decent starters next year but again little to no depth.

I think LSU was going in portal regardless if they returned. They only play Poa, Mack Truck, and Kent off bench. I know we have a player coming back from injury next year.
If they return probably 1 player from portal. If they don't return probably 2 or 3 depending if they can land Strong.
I think y'all forgetting Poole leaves a spot along with if anyone leaves. So y'all thinking the bench will add producting that quick is a little in denial. They will definitely be looking to add in portalm
Downvote all you want but Besselman and Bartlett wouldn't even be on SC roster as walk-ons. They are fun to cheer for when they get in the game and seem like really nice girls. Just speaking the truth!

Bartlett is on scholarship

I wasn't for sure but a junior getting no PT being 6'3 is very telling.
Thanks

She’s not a good player
I was just stating that she isn’t a walk on
But I agree with what you meant

Playing behind Reese, Morrow and Smith (last year) certainly has something to do with her lack of playing time.
Not many players would be good enough to start ahead of them or sub in and expect the same output.

No one expect Bartlett to provide the same output as the starter, but for her to be a junior and contribute absolutely NOTHING in game time is a head scratcher.

She only comes in during blowouts. She provides no quality PT it's a waste of scholarship. When Morrow or Angel get in foul trouble does she come in? NO
Kent and Mack truck as true freshman plays way more than her. She is wasting a scholarship spot just being honest 6'3 junior that plays no meaningful minutes.

This isn't exactly true, the numbers are correct but thats not exactly what they mean. The majority of her NIL money is national brands that aren't tied to BR or LSU. They will follow her wherever she goes in the W.
The issue with Reese, and why I personally think she should come back, is that as of right now she is not a lock to make a team. The W doesn't have enough teams and the rosters are too small so its a crap shoot every year that some really good players are not going to make a final roster. This is not a dig at her at all its just the reality of the situation, one bad draft move by the wrong team and Angel could find herself in Turkey or Russia next year. The companies behind her NIL deals are less likely to follow her over there. She should stay and spend another year making absolutely sure she is in the best position to be a lock to make a team.

Disappointing, but on a positive note, at least LSU won't have to face Sarah in the SEC every year. Staley was pushing hard to get her, but now is also on the outside looking in.

Seems like Kim taking a step back with her surgery has come back to haunt us a bit. She’s always been a winner so zero doubt in my mind we bring in 4-5 elite portal players
