CKM getting the Dream Team their NC rings is a big deal. For no stated reason, the NCAA had forbidden her from paying for them out of her pocket. So, typically, turned down, she kept on fighting for her
players".

Knowing Deal was tentatively scheduled to visit on the 21st, I've been searching for 3 days on twitter, IG, and google for some confirmation or indirect clue that Addy was on her way and/or made it to campus. I have found nothing. Doesn't mean she didn't make it, but so far there's no cookie crumbs that suggests she did.

She was on campus, visits Alabama next weekend though and Iowa soon. Was at Indiana prior.

Found a short clip of Addison Deal talking to a reporter the day after winning a 3-point contest. Personality seems bright & mature. Lost any semblance of her La. accent, if she ever had one. YouTube

CKM at SEC media days

Kim said said the girls are competing hard to be one of the 8 or 9 that will routinely see the court come the meat of the schedule.

I'm sure almost all will play depending on situations/matchups, but who are the 4 or 5 that will see the least amount of minutes? Izzy, Bartlett, ADR, Kent, Velez?

Izzy and Bartlett will only play in garbage time .
I think ADR will get a fair amount of minutes.

12 scholarships and 1 walk on. Based on practices and comments by KM and assistant coaches, these are the 8 players who will be in the rotation:

Reese
Flaujae
Van Lith
Morrow
Smith
Poole
Poa
Williams

Bench players:
Bartlett--rarely played past 2 years
Rosario--freshman, inexperienced, needs S&C and footwork
Kent--freshman, inexperienced
Velez--freshman, inexperienced
Besselman--walk on

Coach KM values experience over most things. She put in Poole, Poa, and Smith in the NC game and Final 4. She commented several times without those 3 bench players, we don't win the NC. She will rotate those 3 "experienced" players over freshmen. Exception is Williams whom she says is college ready.

I think all of the freshmen will get a good amount of playing time during non-conference, but yeah I think that list is pretty accurate.

Poa will definitely be the backup to Van Lith at first due to her experience, but I can easily see Velez taking over that spot the more minutes she gets in as the season goes on.

As an aside, one clown did not vote for Reese for 1st team All American, leaving her that one vote from being an unanimous selection; Clark from Iowa being the only other one.

AP voted. I think it's public info who and how they voted. Does anyone here know where you can find this info? It would not be surprising if person in Iowa was the one who voted against Reese. Iowa fans and press still feel cheated they lost.

She may not get a lot of minutes but her size will be needed during SEC play in spurts. She will probably end up getting 10-15 minutes similar to Sa'Myah year one but much of her play during conference play is matchups and how she progresses early this fall. But supposedly she has impressed during fall practice and has slimmed down significantly compared to when she arrived at LSU.

If I had to bet, Valez will get the most freshman PT minutes behind Williams. She has Alexis Morris type skills.

Probably the one AP voter that didn't vote LSU #1 in the preseason poll. Some hack from Arizona.
