It is the equivalent to “when did you stop beating your wife?”
If you can’t tell me when the incident occurred, I can’t tell you they ever met. Because meeting someone who doesn’t stand out to you won’t necessarily be remembered 30 fricking years after the fact, but you might be able to narrow it down if you can go “July 17? I was in Mar A Lago that day. Couldn’t have been there.”
