i repeat, sand filter.

the motherfricker who installed the pool at the house we bought put that cartridge shite in and i can't tell you how much i loathe it.

i am going to rip it out this fall and replace with a multiport & sand filter system.

had a green pool when i opened this year and despite vacumming to waste and doing absolutely everything i can; i've STILL had to rinse out the cartridges THREE frickING TIMES in 2 months.

the last time i stripped the threads on the bolt holding the 'belt' around the cartridge container and i spent HOURS working it back and forth until it would rethread and tighten.

complete and utter bullshite to have to take your entire pool system apart every time you want to clean the filter.

not to mention i don't have enough water pressure to clean it properly so there's the whole headache of pulling out the presssure washer & getting that going each time i have to clean this nasty shite.

'i wish i had gone with a cartridge instead of sand filter' --- said no one ever.
