Our football team could have done something similar with the great press from that 2019 team, but at least O had sex, I guess.

Don’t meant to digress but yeah, I’m still pissed off that we got absolutely NO recruiting boost from that 2019 NC.

At the press conference announcing CBK’s hiring, Tate’s and Woodward’s remarks were pointed: “We wanted someone who could SUSTAIN success.” To bring things back on subject, CKM can certainly do that.

Why is this a common assumption? If everyone is interested in winning a natty, then all involved will push in the same direction. I haven’t seen much in the way of “me, me, me” from the players so that suggests the egos are in check.

True. And HVL has let it be known that part of what attracted her to LSU was to run the point. Sure she’ll score but she’s looking to be more of a playmaker and distributor to show her versatility for the WNBA.

I worried that Morrow might feel there would not be enough basketballs to go around. But good night, this team will stretch defenses so thin that it won’t be funny. Everybody will eat.

She says she just wants to win

quote:

"I'm never intimidated by playing against or playing on a team with amazing, talented players," Morrow, a rising junior, told ESPN. "That's what I want to be surrounded around. I want to be around players who are going to make me better. I feel like we're going to challenge each other on a day-to-day basis. We all have the same end goal, and that's to win the national championship, to win the conference."

quote:

Despite putting up big numbers and garnering individual accolades, Morrow said she experienced "empty seasons because I had nothing to show for it. No championships in the conference or no ring either." DePaul bowed out of the NCAA tournament in the First Four her freshman season and missed the postseason this past year.

quote:

"Angel Reese talked a lot about how she would love to have me there as a teammate, but it wasn't just her. It was the other girls on the team as well," Morrow said. "They specifically talked about winning. That's what they want to do there, and that's what I'm trying to do. I feel like as athletes and true competitors, you want to win day in and day out. And when you come together as a team, you know that you can accomplish that."

That’s a great looking picture. But rest assured, Mikaylah Williams will start from the time she steps onto campus until she’s the first pick in the WNBA draft.

And even with all the star power on that team, don’t be surprised if Mikaylah Williams is the best player and leading scorer.

Quality depth on next season's team, which was lacking this year!

Yes, this is a definite ten-deep rotation. You still don’t like to see your starters in foul trouble but there’s no one in that second five you’d despair over them coming into the game and giving you 10-15 good minutes to close out a half if a starter picked up two quick ones.

Mikaylah has an elite jab-step/step-back outside shot that she must've stolen from Prime James Harden. It's unstoppable. And she is eqally unstoppable driving to the goal. I can't wait for the nation to discover her.

This team is gonna be so much frickin' fun to watch, even beyond the Fab 5. The further development of Poole, Poa, Smith, along with newcomers, Del Rosario & Velez will be so satisfying.
