It's high time we stopping saying weak shite like this. It's a fricking word in a song. If the word is so fricking bad, remove it from all of media and make it bad for anyone to say. Otherwise, quite being a bitch.

Aren't these guys just glorified sports content creators?

most of them have successful podcasts (some have multiple) and do video shows/series... mintz did none of that

He was hired by Barstool as a joke. I mean it's clear. He was hired to be the southern bumpkin idiot for a bunch of yankee assholes. I don't know if he just didn't pick up on it or what but when you're putting out shirts like the one below, you gotta think that he was a little slow to pick up on it.

He tweeted last night about nothing more than getting a call from the mayor of Oxford and it's at almost 860K engagement. On April 30th he tweeted something about Wake Up with Mintzy and he got a little over 200k engagements but you're argument is that his footprint is dwindling. Vintage Lester

If I was Mintz I'd be looking to make sure that was the first ever utterance of that word on any barstool platform, and if it isn't, checking to see if his termination matched the other instances.

Ben Mintz was "getting paid to give his opinion on air" because he barely had two brain cells rubbing together, not because he had some great wisdom to share with the world. He was the court jester at Barstool. He really didn't contribute much of anything content wise, and things he was supposed to help them push, like college baseball, has flamed out quickly. Ole Miss winning a national title probably bought him more time than he deserved.

Back up a little...he had his own radio show before Barstool. An yeah Portnoy hired him for his Schtick because he went viral for his post-game celebration for a Ole Miss victory against Kentucky. He was an antagonist to Brandon Walker. It was a design to create content and expand viewership and engagement and it worked.

It doesnt mean he was a sports, radio or media visionary it mean he had a shot, got some popularity, went viral and capitalized on it. His poker and sports betting background was of interest to a platform like Barstool because of their interest in Penn and online gambling in Louisiana about to become legal and them looking to expand their footprint.

What's ridiculous is for anyone to sit on the sidelines watching something achieve something they've never done and at the same time criticize their qualifications and abilities.

I always laugh when someone censors out the "n word." In almost every case, the readers/listeners know exactly what word was "bleeped" so what is the point?

Mad Magazine once spoofed the network TV censoring of Joe Pesci gangster movies. "Do I amuse you monkey fellow?"

He was hired as a foil to BFW and to further expand Barstool to the south.

All that to sell 17 tshirts when he rolled out his show

Devin Snow was selling out 100s of T-shirt’s in minutes to niche audience when he was doing his merch

Mintz only has followers bc big cat and Dave fricked with him all the time. Obviously it didn’t translate to dollars. The only people he could get to sponsor his show was Barstool brands

This is such a stupid argument. I hope you never criticized an athlete, coach, politician, chef, etc then.
