Its been noticed by myself and ive seen it posted on other boards the only reason Cere even held her own against Vader is uttered by her final line before battle begins. She had let go of her fear. I believe that was the message the devs wanted to get across. They also did this by making you play as her and have her saber strikes do noticeably more damage than cals, altered force abilities, less stims than you have by far, and no outline of her move set. Almost a ludonarrative way of making the player let go of their fear.

Also I didnt notice it the first time but replaying the game on grandmaster I figured out Vader is a bit of a bait and switch gimmick fight but youre very unlikely to pick that up on a first run.
