For a 22' Bay Boat. It currently has an 80lb Minn Kota hand control. Same motor I have on my 17' Alweld so it's probably a little underpowered.

Features I want: Made for saltwater, spotlock/anchor mode. I would like to stay 24 volt. I don't want auto-deploy. I fish mostly saltwater so sonar isn't a big deal. I do like to fish ponds so the ability to go in grass would be nice.

Anyone have experience with Rhodan?

I've been researching the same. Seems like Rhodan's edge is that they ship you the parts directly so you can DIY fix. They all are prone to breaking. Not sure if they have all of the features of the MK, MG, PP, etc... but they definitely have spot lock function.

Another factor to consider is which brand plays nicely with your GPS unit.

I'll never buy without auto deploy again. It isn't the auto deploy feature I like but the auto trim feature is so nice in the marsh.

MK Terrova.

Had mine for 3 years now in 24v 80# config. I've added the footpedal to it as well for mainly when I bass fish. Love it. Highly recommend, have had 0 issues. I am on the water alot as well.

Mk Terrova makes a saltwater white version you should look into. The remote, spot lock, transducers available, etc all are comparable to the ultrex so I'd start there. Only thing is it's not a cable drive pedal, it's electric (which I didn't, but some have a preference against).

Unless you go 36V it's going to stay underpowered.
