Fatality in boating accident here last weekend, make sure everything is in order, I would expect a high presence of patrolling. Accident was in the Jordan River not far north of I-10 but I wouldn’t more safety checks than normal. Good luck, bring some Gnat gear just in case

Damn that’s terrible. We went to the sandbar up the jourdan last year and people were flyin through some of those tight turns coming well past center. The jet skis had zero self awareness. I appreciate the heads up.

Did they ever report any specifics on how the wreck happened? I know the fountain mowed over the blue wave but what exactly caused it? We were in the bay when it happened. My buddy was in route to meet us and stopped at the wreck 3 minutes after it happened. He said he spoke with the girl who eventually passed away and he didn't think she was that bad off.

That bend of the river is somewhat blind to begin with plus you have the boats coming out of Diamondhead that feed in. It was high tide and both boats had T tops though so you'd think they would have been visible above the marsh. I always take that turn very easy until I can see what's coming from every direction.
