The answer is NO. And mainly because Bama backed into that game and everybody on planet earth knows it.

No. Because the 1997 team won and earned the title. The 2011 team did not.

THIS!! exactly.

the 2011-2012 players and most of the staff were as good or better than any team in the country.

Les Miles was a mediocre coach at best; not an elite coach.

i think Les Miles ate too much artificial turf that game.

Hard to say LSU didn’t earn a title that year. Especially considering the strength of schedule and LSU having a win against every team they played. Bama got into that game because of their name. Not merit.

Les lost his damn mind running the same 3 plays for 3 quarters.

It didn’t matter how terrible JJ played. Les was never going to pull him. JJ actually played better vs Bama than he did the game before vs Georgia.

If 2019 had not happened I might have done so. With 03, 07, and 19 I just don't see any reason why I should even think about that game any longer. Like someone mentioned above, it's closure.

This is not a question. At least 90% of us on here would make that trade. The better question is....How many national titles in baseball would you trade for an extra nat'l title in football?

What I'm reading here is that a bunch of football baws would erase the time, energy, dedication, performance, hard work of the players on that (in some cases multiple squads and even other sports) squad so they could have another fricking t-shirt?

What was achieved is worthless to them because them didn't get a chance to spill their Bud Lite all over the place in celebration?

That the only team sport at LSU worthy of your attention is football?

Is that about right?

I would not for a few reasons

1. Bama fans are already insufferable enough just from football, but they don't have the hardware that we do across the board athletically. It's fun to be able to brag to them about CWS titles and Final 4 appearances.

2. If we win it all in 2011, we do not get Burrow or 2019 and possibly do not get Brian Kelly.

Now the alternative to that would be that if we win it all in 2011 maybe things go differently in 2012 and we repeat as national champions. Still, I'm happy with the way things turned out.

That was coming anyway. Bama getting the rematch to begin with mostly assured it.

No, you have to earn the Ship. Even though Bama shouldn’t have been chose as our opponent.

No. I love our baseball program. We won 5 CWS in 10 years. You will never see something like that ever again.

Plus 2019 prob doesn’t happen if Les wins another natty in 2011. As much as that game hurt, 2019 made it worth going through.

I'd trade all but the Warren Morris one.
