What is the most overrated travel destination

I will probably say Nashville, TN because it is overpriced and it can get boring after 2 days easily.
Close second is a tie between Las Vegas and Orlando.

Vegas and Orlando are good ones. But obviously both have their appeal to a fairly large subset.
In the US, I think Key West probably disappoints more people than any other highly desired travel location. The right person loves KW, for many, a tropical paradise without beaches, with zero concern about customer service ends up a disappointment.

Panhandle of Florida is gross.
Certain areas for sure, but there are quiet, nice spots that are not overrated

Idk because different people like different things.
I think Chicago is awesome, but half this board would disagree.
I think renting a beachhouse on the Gulf Coast is overrated, but half this board would also disagree.

I'd agree. There are a ton of things to do in Nashville for the first 2 days...after that...it really goes down hill pretty fast.

I couldn't possibly care less about visiting Nashville. I've spent a lot of time in Austin and I'm not sure how or why that became such a popular bachelor/bachelorette party and long weekend destination.

I like Nashville fine but it wouldn't really occur to me to spend more than a weekend there. If it's new found glory has people taking week long vacations to Nashville, I can definitely see how that would end up a disappointment.

I can see this being "Overrated" if you go thinking you're going to be sitting on a sandy beach all day.
